City Harvest Education
Centre (CHEC) has been established by City
Harvest Community Services Association (CHCSA) and registered
with the Ministry
of Education (MOE) since 2002. The purpose of CHEC is
to provide effective and affordable education to private candidates
taking the GCE 'O' level examinations.
In order to achieve our objectives, class size will be capped
at a maximum of 30 students (note: The average class size
in present government schools ranges from 35 to 40 students)
so that students can receive adequate personal coaching and
attention from our teachers. Student fees are payable in monthly
installments. Through a support scheme, bursaries will be offered to students
with genuine financial needs.
In CHEC, we believe that every student has the potential to
excel in his or her life, but the first step to excellence
must start with a personal decision. We are only able to help
students who want to be helped. The commitment to study cannot
come from the parents, teachers or the school, but from the
individual student. If our students make a choice to study,
CHEC will be committed to learning, teaching and inspiring.
