Our Social Innovation
City College, previously known as City Harvest Education Centre (CHEC), was started in 2002 by City Harvest Community Services Association (CHCSA) with the objective of providing effective and affordable education to private candidates taking the GCE 'O' level examinations. Helping at-risk youths gain a footing in society and moulding them into star achievers over the years, we have earned a reputation as a school that champions youth causes. Our goal is to nurture students into contributing members of society who will, in turn, impact and inspire others both at home and abroad.
A different mindset and approach drive our innovations in education. Known as a different kind of school, City College has endeared itself to its students. We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, relying on the generosity of sponsors, alumni and other donors to continue running our programmes and supporting our students. Donations received over the years have enabled us to award scholarships and bursaries to outstanding or underprivileged students and to start a well-stocked school library. For some of our students, receiving a scholarship or bursary has been life-changing. Beyond the financial assistance, it is the realisation that there are people who believe in them that has strengthened their will to succeed.
We are committed to our donors. Rest assured all 100% of your donation will go to the cause of your choice; no part of it will be used to cover administration costs.
Impact and inspire - that's what we aim to keep doing at every level.
