Q: What makes studying at City College different?
A: The City College classroom experience involves the creative use of graphics, games, video clips and music to bring concepts to life. Teachers are encouraged to engage their students daily and to create a learning environment that is fun and interactive. Each classroom session also has inherent lessons built around good values to build character in our students.
Q: Can City College motivate someone who is not at all interested in studying?
A: City College is positioned to help people who want a second try at school. We use a variety of teaching methods to engage our students, but we may not be able to make much impact during the duration of the course if the student doesn't want to study.
Q: What is the class size at City College?
A: It varies for different subjects. The maximum number of students per class is 30.
Q: What is the pass rate at City College?
A: Approximately 60% of our graduates move on to tertiary education in the polytechnics, junior college or private colleges. More than 95% attain the GCE 'O' Level certificate.
Q: Are the teachers at City College highly qualified?
A: All our teachers are graduates of the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University. They have years of experience in tutoring and classroom teaching and are approved by Singapore's Ministry of Education. Six of them have obtained or are pursuing Masters degrees.
Q: How is City College funded?
A: Besides income from school fees, City College is supported by an annual grant from Singapore's Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and by contributions from corporate sponsors, individual donors and foundations. We also run fundraising projects and part of the profits from O School, a performing arts centre founded by our principal, Kenny Low, goes back to City College's programmes.
Q: What are the course fees?
A: For international students, please refer to this link. For local students, please refer to this link.

Q: What if I can't pay my fees on time?
A: Please contact our Student Admin Officer immediately and before fees are due.
Q: How do I withdraw from City College?

Q: Can I arrange for a school visit?
A: You can make an appointment with our course consultant during office hours. The visit will last about 10 minutes.
Q: What does the entry test for admission to City College entail?
A: There are two parts to the test, English Language and Mathematics, both at lower secondary levels.
Q: What does the interview for admission to City College entail?
A: The interview will help us get to know you a little and also give you a chance to clarify any concerns you may have about the course or the school. It should not take longer than 30 minutes.
Q: How soon will I know the outcome of my application for admission?
A: We will inform you within one week of your interview.
